Heads Nook Hall Cottage

Heads Nook Hall Cottage is a single-level property in Cumbrian countryside outside Carlisle, sleeping four across two bedrooms. One has a double bed, the other a zip-and-link super king that can be split into two singles on request. There's a bathroom with bath and separate shower, a living room with woodburner, and a kitchen-diner set up for proper cooking. Everything happens on the ground floor. One dog stays free, and there's private parking for two cars plus an EV charging point. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included.

The cottage works well for couples wanting rural peace, families with young children who'll appreciate the accessible layout, or two couples travelling together. Carlisle is a short drive away—the castle and cathedral are worth a morning, and the independent shops and cafés give you reason to linger. Hadrian's Wall lies just beyond, a UNESCO site where the walking is excellent and the views stretch across open country. The Lake District's northern boundary is within reach for proper hill days, and quiet country lanes lead through local woodlands if you want something gentler. The Scottish border is close enough for a day trip. No smoking inside the property. Check-in is from 16:00 and checkout before 10:00.
