Howe Bridge House is a self-contained two-bedroom cottage in Cumberland, a short walk from both Keswick and the village of Portinscale. The property sleeps four across a double and two single beds, with a shower room on the first floor. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, along with a travel cot and highchair if needed.
The ground floor holds a living room with a 42-inch smart TV and DVD player, a separate dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. Upstairs, both bedrooms have views toward the fells; the front bedroom looks out to 17 of them. The cottage sits above a disused railway cutting with the River Derwent running alongside. An enclosed lawn garden to front and rear includes a patio and picnic bench, with private parking for two cars. No smoking inside.
A footpath follows the river into Keswick town centre, about a mile away. Portinscale, ten minutes on foot, has a pub, cafés, restaurant and marina. The nearest shop and pub are half a mile distant.
