The property is a self-contained annex attached to the owners' home, giving you complete privacy with your own entrance. Upstairs, a super-kingsize bedroom has an en-suite shower room and views across to the fells; downstairs is an open-plan living space centred on a wood burner, with a kitchen equipped for cooking and a separate toilet. Essentials—electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels—are covered, as is fuel for the burner.

The enclosed garden has a patio, seating and a barbecue. You get on-site parking for one car. A pub lies 1.75 miles away, roughly a five-minute taxi ride or a half-hour walk through the surrounding landscape where buzzards, kestrels and red squirrels are commonly seen. Keswick itself is two miles off, with its market, independent shops, cafes and bars. The town also houses The Derwent Pencil Museum and Theatre By The Lake, while Derwentwater offers water sports.
