Lyzzick Hall Hotel

​The hotel is located just 5 minutes from Keswick in a peaceful area surrounded by beautiful gardens and stunning views. The building is beautifully designed, and our room was cozy, clean, and highly comfortable. ​The staff is wonderful, friendly, and super helpful. ​The food at both the restaurant and the bar is superb, featuring excellent chef-crafted dishes. ​Bottom line: Outstanding!

We stayed at Lyzzick Hall hotel for 5 nights. The hotel had lovely gardens and stunning views of the mountains in the background even when you were sat in the bar or restaurant. The food was absolutely superb. We looked forward to breakfast every morning and evening meals were fantastic too. Rooms were very spacious with plenty of drawer space and wardrobe. Reasonable sized carpark at front of hotel. You also get free access to the nearby Underscar spa for a swim if you like but any treatments you would have to pay for. Highly recommended.

Views - like no others in the lake district, amazing panoramas. Could just sit with a glass of wine and the views and be totally content. Hotel - New owners , fully refurbished and totally transformed, smells new , looks new and now its right up there with the best hotels in the lakes. Service - Comes with a smile, very friendly and well trained staff. They knew the menus inside out and were an asset to the business. Drinks - Superb cocktails , let needs recommend the "Sake Mai Tai" its as good as you'll get anywhere in the UK. Wines and champagne available by the glass. Food - We went for Sunday lunch and once again it's up there with the best in the lakes. The Beef (£25) was cooked pink to perfection and came with home made horseradish. Nice selection of starters (£8 -14) , mains and some beautiful puds (£10-12). All priced reasonably. Chef has been cooking for many many years ( if anyone knows Underscar manor from the 80s) and knows the business inside out... he's great. Must return for the ALC menu and an overnight stay experience in the very best future. Highly recommend for an all round relaxing luxury stay.

We have visited Lyzzick at least once per year for the past 7 years and it really is our favourite! We were eager to see the recent changes, and are so impressed with the renovation. The new owners and staff have really got it right. The decor is stunning and stylish. The ambiance and music, spot on. We have been so happy to see familiar staff and new faces who made us feel so welcome. Now for the fun bit! The food, as always, is absolutely flawless! The quality of produce and the inventiveness of each dish is outstanding. We had two nights in the restaurant and it was so hard to choose! Can’t recommend the mocktails enough! Thanks so an amazing stay. We will be back soon!
