About Gorselands Caravan Park

Gorselands Caravan Park sits in West Bexington, a small village on the Dorset coast between Bridport and Weymouth. The surrounding landscape is typical of this stretch of the Jurassic Coast – open countryside rolling towards shale cliffs and shingle beach, with little development to interrupt the view.

The park offers caravan pitches with access to shower facilities. The Lemon Tree Inn is just a few minutes' walk away, and Holy Trinity Church stands nearby in the village. For a seaside break within easy reach of the Dorset coast, this is a straightforward base.

Having honeymooned at Gorselands 40 years ago, we returned for a reminiscent stay to celebrate! Everything was just perfect! The site is immaculately maintained, the staff are friendly and helpful and the caravans spotlessly clean and well equipped. We had a front row caravan with the most stunning views. It was so special to return to this amazing location - West Dorset has always been our family go-to holiday destination, with so many happy memories. The weather really helped - a sunny but not scorching week. Thank you so much for the special anniversary treat you left us too 💕 My dream would be to own a caravan at Gorselands but probably not feasible! We really hope to return to stay again soon.

Tidy and well maintained site with nice views, but we a lot of vans packed in close together, only about half a dozen are rented out, the rest appear to be privately owned. Many in long tight rows and having no vehicle access to them, so you have to park a bit away from them and drag all yr things over, and there are no pathways between either, only grass, can imagine in the wet it can get messy going to and from the unit. Have to wander between the other units to reach it from the car every time, which must obviously annoy many of the owners as we noticed lots have put up rope fences, plants, bushes, and shrubs etc in the gaps between vans, probably to try and deter people from cutting through all the time. There was zero phone signal, but there's a dedicated hub in each unit with good WiFi.

Lovely, well kept caravan park taken to the next level by the beautiful view out over the sea. Set upon a hillside the site is staggered to give each caravan its own unique view of the sea. Site facilities are limited, but the caravans are well equipped and in very good condition with good size and space to cater for different families. There is plenty around to do each day, especially when the weather is good, with Dorset's stunning coastlines never too far away. Would definitely recommend Gorselands for anyone looking for a peaceful time away in Dorset.
