Shepherd's Cottage works well for small families or couples wanting a self-contained base on a working farm estate. The whole property is yours alone: two bedrooms (one double, one with three singles) and a bathroom on the ground floor, with an open-plan living and dining space. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking; essentials including electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. There's a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue for outdoor meals.

The cottage sits within 22 acres of Rudge Farm, where guests can use a games room with pool table and table tennis, fish free of charge in the on-site carp lake, or explore the woodland and lawned areas. Parking is on site. The location is close enough to reach the Dorset coast and its fossil beaches, yet rural enough to feel properly away from it all. A stream and lake on the grounds are 100 yards from the cottage. Smoking is not permitted. The property is not suitable for children except babies in arms.
