What visitors say

We had an exciting time listening to our guide.. the ghost… tell us all about the local scary stories and lore. Very interesting and fun! Going through the cemetery by the Stirling Castle was very pretty and we saw a lot of cute bunnies running around. The ghost was extremely witty and had a lot of funny jokes. I would recommend to anybody staying in Stirling. Take the whole family and enjoy!

We were on a bus tour that stopped in Stirling. Didn't want to visit the castle and was recommended the Jail instead. Did not disappoint. Unique experience where one guide acts as the various characters in the jail. One man guide and actor, my first experience. In between the explanations , we get to go into the cells and see the exhibits. It also has a watch tower, from the spiral staircase on the top floor, where you can see the surrounding area. Great educational and entertaining way to spend 1 hour. We could have spent more time there but we had to rush back for the bus.

Performance at the start by David was excellent tailored to not scare the kids or dogs! But was very educational and fun. The boards could be a little easier to read for younger children but defo worth the entrance fee

Really enjoyed our visit, Ellie did a great job playing all the different characters and explaining what went on in the jail. Plenty of information to read and terrific views. The car park was convenient and it has easy access for prams, also our dog was allowed in.
