Sunnyside is a terraced cottage in the quiet village of Sanquhar, within reach of Galloway Forest Park and its Dark Sky designation. The ground floor has a living and dining room with a wood burner, a kitchen with electric cooking, and a shower room. Upstairs are two bedrooms—a kingsize and a single—served by the bathroom below. The cottage sleeps three and is yours alone for the stay.

You get Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels; logs for the burner are supplied to start with. An enclosed garden with courtyard and furniture sits at the back. Parking is on the road outside. One dog can stay at no extra cost. The village has a shop and coffee places, plus the Catstrand arts venue. Walkers and cyclists head to the forest for woodland trails and two of the 7Stanes mountain bike routes, while the coast with its beaches and cliff paths is also nearby. Local takeaways will deliver to the door.

Booked one of the lovely lodges for two nights for a friends birthday and had the best time! The lodges are located on a farm you get to see all sorts of views and animals. The lodges are so cosy and come will everything you will need and if you forget something there are supper cute villages a 5 minute drive away. The owners are so friendly and super helpful :) would highly recommend!!

Great 2 nights away in the old stables. So relaxing. Lodge had everything we needed. Would have liked a wood burner next to the hot tub just to sit and chill after being in it. We went for 2 nights to do absolutely nothing and we did nothing except relax. Order take aways or take microwave meals. Your not wanting to waste time cooking. Can't wait to go back.

Absolutly stunning place to get away from it all. Weve been 3 times now and each time has been lovely. This time we stayed in the stables, after staying in the pods before, the stables is more comfy and spatious with a seperate bedroom, and outside sitting area as well as the barn with the swing chair and hot tub. Would give this a 5 star everytime 👌👌👌 will definatly be back soon.

Stayed for one night in The Stables. absolutely loved it. The setting and the lodge itself were fabulous. Waking up in the morning to the horses outside! The lodge was well equipped and clean, everything you needed. The Hot Tub was in a another building opposite the lodge and under cover. Fortunately the weather was excellent during our stay but had it not been so great the hot tub in the other section would be ideal. The hosts were great and met us on arrival. We got fresh eggs from them as well, very nice. Very peaceful surroundings, just view over fields with sheep and horses, perfect :). Would definitely stay again, the same lodge.
