Telford Cottages - Grooms Cottage

You walk into Grooms Cottage at ground level, where the living room, kitchen and dining space flow together in one open plan. The kitchen is properly equipped—electric cooker, microwave, slow cooker, air fryer—so cooking a full meal is straightforward. A shower room and toilet are also on this floor, which matters when you have young children or prefer not to manage stairs in the evening.

Upstairs are two bedrooms. One has a double bed; the other contains a king and a single, which works well for families of four or five. The second bedroom has its own en-suite shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. The cottage is part of a courtyard complex converted from a historic coaching inn, with private parking for two cars on site and one dog allowed to stay free of charge. No smoking inside.

The Moffat Hills rise nearby for walking; Moffat itself is close enough for a day out. The setting is rural rather than remote, so you're not cut off from shops or services.
