Causey Arch Cottages - Roxy’s Cottage
County Durham
Roxy's Cottage suits couples wanting their own space to explore County Durham and beyond. The whole property is yours alone: a single bedroom with a kingsize bed, a bathroom with bath and shower, and an open-plan living area that combines kitchen, dining and lounge. The kitchen has what you need to cook proper meals—electric hob, oven and grill combined, fridge. A Smart TV, comfortable seating and heating mean you can settle in when the weather turns. Essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included.
Outside, there is parking for one car on site and access to a garden with furniture. Your one dog or cat stays free. The cottage sits within a small cluster of properties, so you have a shared paved seating area if you fancy fresh air. On the site itself a tea room serves food and drink daily. The woodland picnic area next door offers walking trails and space to eat outside; cycling routes crisscross the locality too. Causey Arch—claimed as the world's oldest single-arch bridge—is within reach on foot, as is Tanfield Railway, where the oldest working steam train still runs. A complimentary museum pass to Beamish is yours to use. No smoking inside.
