Reed Lodge is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom holiday home sleeping four within Wood Fen Lodges, a converted property in open countryside between Ely and Cambridge. The cathedral city of Ely is close by; Cambridge itself—with its colleges, museums, punting and restaurants—lies within easy reach. For further exploration, Norwich's castle and medieval streets are a drive away, as are the Imperial War Museum at Duxford and the Royal Sandringham Estate.

The lodge has an open-plan ground floor with a living area (TV, DVD, woodburner), dining space and a kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch. One bedroom contains a king bed and the other two singles; both have en-suite showers. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with logs for the burner. You get a private garden with patio and furniture, parking for two cars, and the use of shared grounds across four acres. One well-behaved dog can stay free of charge. A hot tub is available by arrangement. Note that there is an unfenced lake 150 yards from the property.

Simply one of the most relaxing holidays we’ve had. The cottage and gardens were lovely, quiet and the hot tub helped with winding down and said relaxing. Hosts were lovely as was the very generous welcome pack of bread, wine etc. Enjoyed Welney wildfowl sanctuary and hospitality of the lamb and flag (Memoirs of a fen tiger a favourite book)they were close by and definite recommend. A perfect place to stay with so many wonderful places in easy reach

The lodge/cottage was very clean and welcoming. It's nice to have en suite shower rooms for both bedrooms. Easy to get to Ely, used park and ride for Cambridge which was £4 return ticket. Slight downside was the noise from the road, I'd expected a quiet country lane! Would definitely go again.

We were welcomed warmly by Yvonne our host, who made sure we felt comfortable during our day. The day was very well organised, facilities were well appointed and our lunch was delicious. Our treatments were relaxing and we would 100% go again!! Highly recommend this hidden gem!

My daughter and I spent yesterday at the Spa. It was our birthday present to each other. 10am- 5.30, we had this oasis all to ourselves. What a treat. Yvonne was wonderful and provided a delicious lunch. Sitting in the Jacuzzi for most of the day in the sunshine, talking non stop - bliss. What a quiet and tranquil spot. We will definitely be back. Thank you xx
