East Suffolk's countryside rolls down towards Lowestoft and the North Sea, and Barn Owl Lodge 4 sits within that rural belt. The single-bedroom lodge is a ground-floor property designed for two guests, with a private garden and parking for one car. One small dog is welcome to stay.

Inside, the open-plan living space brings together a sitting area, dining zone and kitchen in one bright room. A double bed (4ft 6in) occupies the bedroom; a shower cubicle and toilet serve the bathroom. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge-freezer, so you can cook from scratch or heat something quick. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included; heating is electric central. Freeview Smart TVs are in the living area and kitchen, and there's a welcome pack on arrival.

The grounds are lawned with garden furniture for sitting outside, though these are shared with other lodges on the site. Smoking is not permitted. For anyone wanting seaside walks and beach time without going far, this location makes a practical base.
