About Premier Inn Edinburgh Airport M9 Jct1
Sitting just off the motorway junction near Edinburgh Airport, Premier Inn Edinburgh Airport M9 Jct1 is a practical base for anyone flying in or out, or passing through the city on the way elsewhere. The surrounding area is functional rather than scenic, with the terminal a short distance away and the city centre further on, but the hotel itself is well kept and easy to reach off the M9.
The 119 rooms are spread across three floors and come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks available in room, all finished to the reliable standard the brand is known for, with comfortable beds a regular highlight. A lift serves all floors, and accessible rooms are available. On site there's a restaurant and bar serving breakfast and meals, plus a play corner for younger guests, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful.
Facilities extend to luggage storage, 24-hour reception, an electric vehicle charge point and on-site parking, though this is chargeable via a ticket machine near reception, something worth budgeting for in advance. Additional restaurants, pubs and entertainment can be found nearby, making it a straightforward stopover for early flights or short stays near the airport.
What guests say
I like Premier Inn because of their convenience. This place is great, specially if you have access to a car. I reserved this place without doing much research. I did not travel by vehicle so it was a bit inconvenient. The nearest bus stop is a good walking distance from the hotel and it is not the safest route to take on foot. Same goes for food. You must reserve a spot if you want to eat at the restaurant because depending on the day it might be fully booked and you cannot do a walk in. So if you do not have a car, your closest thing is a McDonalds, or ordering via Uber eats. If you are looking for a hotel with easy access to the airport, it is probably easier to stay in the Premier Inn that is located Edinburgh Park and getting on the Tram.

The hotel itself was amazing, although there was a problem in room 29 which is the room I was originally staying in. Turning off the shower / bath was pretty stiff, I had to force it off. But apart from that, the rooms were very clean and a very welcoming presentation. Haven’t seen a lot of child entertainment around, so I wouldn’t recommend for families. I’m only saying it’s good as I’m a solo traveller. Another Note: My QR Code To Check In Failed, So I Had To Speak To Management. Except for that tho I got checked in and everything went perfect, even got airplanes taking off from outside the front of the hotel. ✈️ If you’re looking for a nice accommodation for either the weekend or the week. This is for you! 🟡 Once again: any families visiting here, have a look online to see if any child entertainment is running near the area. I’ve been here before, I’d keep coming back. Any person w/ a drivers licence: I’d recommend either booking a Taxi or hiring a car for your trip, as it took me 1hr to walk. But I’m use to walking like that. Overall experience, 3.5/5 The stiff shower & the check in fail, I’m deducting points from

Myself and husband stayed here after we had to decante our home . I am a fulltime wheelchair user and undergoing many challenges health and home wise.we were pretty stressed on arrival at the hotel . Everyone was just lovely from the moment we arrived nothing as been too much . The room met my access needs and the staff made me actually feel so welcome. I will list all we came into contact with but I would like to mention Kenneth who often saw our stress levels as we returned to hotel daily . His smile and warmth went a long way to making us relax . He is a credit to the hotel with his professional approach but also his infectious laugh and courtesy. There have been times whe we have witnessed some pretty rude travellers come into hotel be that the voyer or dining room and one particular morning g stands out . Kenneth held himself with dignity and was incredibly polite I commented afterwards I wouldn't if been able to hold my tongue like he did . All of the team are a credit to the hotel Amanda Jen Robin Max Debbie Linda Hollies Iwana Eva Donna Ewa Josh Tracy Last but not least Kenneth I hope this gets fed back to the team they so deserve it . I would also like to add the lovely Tracy to my list I did have her name written down but in true sharon style missed it off So thank you also Tracy will actually miss you guys when we return home . Thank you Sharon

Very lovely staff and well aware about allergies. We have been asked if we need the breakfast to be prepared fresh if we don’t feel safe with what the buffet offers. The girls had an amazing time downstairs, the little corner for kids kept them well entertained. Thank you also for the Easter bags, such a lovely gesture. Overall, a great stay! The staff makes the difference and they deserve a pay raise!
