My partner and I had the most wonderful stay this weekend! The house is absolutely stunning… beautifully maintained, spotless, and full of charm. Our room was cosy, peaceful, and had everything we needed - the bed was incredibly comfortable too! The owner (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch your name!) was incredibly kind and welcoming. She made sure we had everything we needed, gave us helpful tips on getting into town, and let us know she was always available if we needed anything. From the moment we stepped through the door, it truly felt like a home away from home. ☺️ The location was ideal… tucked away from the hustle and bustle, yet just a short walk (or an easy tram/bus ride) to everything. We’ll absolutely be back and honestly, we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. ☺️

My wife and I stayed here between Aug 05 and Aug 09. Shirley greeted us and provided a whole bunch of useful tips and recommendations, everything from transportation to where to eat and what to see. The room was exceptionally clean and everyday she filled up a little basket of treats for us to munch on. The Scottish Whiskey was a nice touch. The house is about a 20min walk from the Royal Mile and Calton Hill (stunning city views from here and it's free) It's about a10 minute walk to a grocery store and restaurants. One restaurant we absolutely fell in love with was Vittoria On The Walk. If you like Italian food than this is a must visit and it was only a 10 min walk. If given the chance we would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it if you find yourself in Edinburgh. Shirley was a class act and a gracious host.

What a lovely surprise! It’s such a beautiful guest house, the small touches like the breakfast bars and whiskey was very personal which you would never get at a hotel! Comfy beds, great location and we met the owner before leaving and she was lovely and accommodating. Great location too. The book with food recommendations was great too there’s a lovely little cafe around the corner. 10/10 would recommend and would stay again.
