Cramond sits on the Forth Estuary, just beyond Edinburgh's urban sprawl, and offers a quieter alternative to staying in the city itself. The village has a working harbour, walks along the shore, and a modest strip of beach. Quay Cottage is a ground-floor property sleeping four: two bedrooms (one double, one twin), a shower room, and a combined living and dining space with a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine—so you can eat in as easily as eating out.
A rear patio with seating overlooks the water. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with wi-fi. Street parking is available outside. Within the village itself there's a pub two minutes' walk away, a bistro next to the cottage, and a café along the shorefront. Supermarkets, shops and restaurants cluster about a mile off in Davidsons Mains and Barnton. Edinburgh city centre is reachable by car, bus or taxi. No smoking is permitted inside.
