Very cozy apartment in a quiet area around 15 minutes to the centre. I really loved the living room and the Nespresso coffee. Comfortable bed and perfect room temperature. Everything was clean, I had read some bad reviews and I think we are talking about two different places because ours was impeccable! Check in was smooth, the two young ladies at the desk were so friendly and nice, unfortunately I didn’t catch their names :( definitely worth the price!

The location is in the west of the city, in a quiet neighbourhood. It is a 20- to 30-minute walk to the city centre, depending on your pace and your final destination. The room is clean (though not the extra bedding), and has simple amenities, such as an all-purpose gel for your hair, body, face and hands. There is basically no service at all. Housekeeping is only provided for stays of over six days. They charge £5 for a luggage locker. The staff seemed polite when they greeted us at reception, but whenever we made a request or asked a simple question, they became abrupt. When we made the reservation, we requested a room with twin beds, as we are brother and sister. We also sent an email weeks before our arrival to confirm the arrangements. We even received a pleasant reply from the manager. However, at last we were given a room with a double bed. My sis got the bed and I had to sleep on the couch with not-so-clean extra bedding for four nights!!!

I had a wonderful experience at the City Apartel Hotel and would highly recommend it! The staff are incredibly kind, respectful, and attentive to every need; at one point, we requested a change of bed sheets, and they handled it in a very quick and timely manner. They were also incredibly helpful in giving us great local recommendations for things to do during our stay in the city. As for the accommodations, the room was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, the bathrooms were very spacious, and the building is situated on a very safe street. Overall, it was a 10 out of 10 experience, and I will definitely stay with them again when we come back to Edinburgh

We recently stayed at Staycity Apartments in Edinburgh, and overall our experience was positive. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and the location was great. However, we specifically booked an apartment with a terrace because we were looking forward to enjoying a quiet courtyard. Unfortunately, just a metre away from our terrace there were benches where hotel staff regularly gathered in groups to smoke and chat loudly. It often felt like we were sitting in their staff area rather than enjoying our own private outdoor space. The property itself is good, but if you're paying extra for a terrace expecting peace and privacy, this setup is quite disappointing. We hope the management will consider relocating the staff smoking area or making guests aware of this before booking.
