Great communications, friendly and helpful staff who can’t do enough to help you. Great value for money. Spotless rooms and comfy bed. Nice buffet breakfast. Some parking on site but lots of unrestricted on street parking nearby. Buses to town right outside - couldn’t be easier. Really comfy and a great price compared to other hotel options. An amazing guest house with amazing staff who looked after us during our first time to Edinburgh. The breakfast is amazing with loads of options to choice from. Very lovely property and the rooms are clean and very big and good off road parking too. Also close to the city centre and regular bus services that will take you into the city centre. Defintely would stay at this amazing hotel again in the future. Thank you.

A really great authentic Scottish guest house. Jane was extremely pleasant and welcoming when we arrived, and very hospitable at Breakfast along with the other waitresses. The breakfast had lots of choice including a hot breakfast, cereal, fruit and a selection of breads to accompany the large range of condiments. The rooms were clean and spacious, and although a little dated this added to the charm. The bus into the City stopped just outside which was extremely handy as driving in would incur a LEZ charge. All round it was a lovely stay.

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Ben Doran Guesthouse. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a lovely, family-style Christmas spirit that made us feel right at home. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, which really enhanced our experience. The breakfast was also very good – tasty and a perfect start to the day. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would happily return. Highly recommended!
