Our second stay at this stunning hotel- we were welcomed like old friends and enjoyed a lovely "welcome back" note and bottle of prosecco in our room. Very pleasantly surprised our room was ready early in the day- a lovely room overlooking Waverly Station. Staff is incredibly helpful and genuine in their desire to make your stay above and beyond! Our breakfasts each morning were delicious and made-to-order perfectly. We will most definitely stay again and again! The location is superb...close to both New Town and Old Town- just off the Royal Mile. The Concierge kindly help with dining options and questions! Highly recommend.

This hotel was a palace! Soo comfortable and Beautiful! We were treated like royalty in every way. Marta, Paul, Conner and Sudan were so kind and helpful with suggestions, opening doors immediately, tours and just plain kindness always. The breakfast Tearoom is absolutely charming. The food delicious and the ambiance sweet and gentle. John, Sonia, Prachi and the other servers were extremely professional and prompt. Just overall this hotel is worth every penny you spend. We loved it!

We were there in March 2026, and experienced a beautiful early spring for the four days we visited, we spent three nights there. Their staff was absolutely admirable and friendliness and accommodating your needs our room was impeccable, and had a cozy warm field to it. Beautiful bathroom, beautiful stonewall exposed in the room. We are older and our comfort was our main concern. I would go back again in a minute. We tried their lovely movie theater one evening, you couldn’t ask for more entertaining evening in the heart of Edinburgh. Charlie was the concierge when we arrived and he was endearing. We appreciated his warm welcome.

A remarkably beautiful place to stay in a remarkably beautiful part of the world. The Scotsman is a must for any couples looking to experience the city at its most romantic. The architecture and history of the place are as authentically immersive as it gets, while the in-house art deco cinema and cafe (complete with live music) afford plenty of event before you even touch the city. My partner and I stayed in a Feature Room, and added on the romantic package. Flower petals, folded swans towels, chocolates and champagne with Dark Academia ambience playing on the TV would make even bedrock feel detached from reality. Major thanks to Ayat and Marta as long as every other member of staff we encountered for making us feel so welcome and accommodating all our requests!
