The Old Hall Ely

Amazing property, well maintained with wonderful grounds. Millie was the duty manager when we checked in, she gave us a tour of the building and made sure we had everything we needed on a hot summers evening, 10 out of 10 for service. There is slight road noise from a nearby road but not enough to disturb sleep. The only real surprise was the lack of food options, though I did receive a call offering a cold platter for dinner. Breakfast was lovely though. If evening food options are not a priority, then this hotel is well worth a visit..

Celebrating a wedding here was lovely. A hot day, but so many wonderful spaces to enjoy the view and the weather. Can't have been easy to keep this garden in shape through the heat, but it looked wonderful. Food was excellent too. Rooms apparently very spacious too. Lovely views from the terrace.

We recently celebrated our wedding at The Old Hall Ely in April, and it could not have been more perfect. We were fortunate with the weather, which allowed us to hold our ceremony in the beautiful outdoor pavilion, surrounded by the most stunning views. The rooms are absolutely charming, with every detail thoughtfully presented, and the entire venue is truly breathtaking. The staff were nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, friendly, and professional, making the day run smoothly and effortlessly. All of our guests commented on how lovely both the venue and the staff were, which really added to the joy of our special day. Our stay at The Old Hall Ely was truly delightful from beginning to end. The room was absolutely charming — beautifully presented, comfortable, and full of character, creating a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere throughout our visit. What made the experience especially memorable, however, was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. In particular, I would like to sincerely commend the young lady who welcomed us during check-in. She was remarkably kind, attentive, and professional, making us feel genuinely valued from the very first moment. Her warm and thoughtful manner set the tone for an outstanding stay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Italian dinner, which was simply excellent — beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and clearly crafted with care. The breakfast was equally impressive, offering a wonderful start to the day with both quality and variety. The Old Hall Ely combines elegance, comfort, and outstanding service in a truly special way. We left with wonderful memories and would gladly return in the future. Highly recommended.
