I booked the riverside inn because it was 5 minutes walk from the train station and the Maltsters concert venue and 10 minutes walk to the cathedral -if you are an early bird like me, I got access to the cathedral for free because the students attend morning prayers and the side door was open. Anyway, my room was beautiful and the bed owe so comfortable whilst the bathroom exquisite. This place is finished to a high end standard, I am looking to bring my wife later on this year - Ely is a lovely place to visit - lots of history!

Best location with the room looking out onto the boats. Managed to park outside which was a bonus but being Ely you can park in any carpark for free with just a short walk. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. There's no restaurant but loads of places to eat and drink within a very short distance, there's one next door. Breakfast was good with plenty to eat. Would I return, definitely.

I highly recommend the Riverside Inn. We were so satisfied and happily surprised when we arrived. It’s located very near to the canal, for an easy walk through the city and neighboring fields. The rooms are abeautifully appointed,, and it’s located on a very quiet street. The beds are marvelous and the linens and thick towels are pure cotton. It was a luxurious sleep! They offer a lovely breakfast including fresh cappuccinos and lattes. That was another unexpected delight! The owners have sophisticated and attractive taste. We loved our stay here.
