About Penmorvah Manor Hotel
Penmorvah Manor Hotel suits travellers who want to explore the Cornish coast by day but come back to something more traditional than a self-catering cottage. Dating from 1872, the house offers 27 country-style rooms with en-suite bathrooms, so it works equally well for a couple's break, a golfing trip or a quieter family stay.
Rooms come with drinks laid on, and the hotel runs a restaurant and a cocktail bar on-site, alongside free breakfast each morning. Free WiFi, luggage storage and free on-site parking cover the practical side, and pets are welcome for those travelling with dogs.
Outside, the grounds on Penjerrick Hill give easy access to walking and cycling routes, with golf and fishing nearby for the more active, plus pubs and restaurants close by for evenings off-site. Falmouth's coastal scenery and attractions are within easy reach, making this a straightforward base for exploring the area at a relaxed pace.

Great location, beautiful views. Rooms were very dated but were fine for a few nights. Breakfast was cold, ended up buying breakfast out. 1 particular member of staff was very rude, not sure if it was because we were a young couple, but told us off for sitting in the wrong place for breakfast (not told where you can/cannot sit) and then left us out when going round asking if anyone would like a pot of tea. We also asked if we could sit outside, was told no as the seats were being put away (8pm). Felt like we were being judged, we are a young couple who wanted a weekend away, we were in bed for 9pm every night but felt treated differently by this one particular staff member.

Booked in for a bank holiday break away, spoke at length to the owner when booking. Arrived to be told no restaurant or bar facilities over the bank holiday for any nights we were staying. Extremely disappointed and wouldn’t have booked if we’d known this. Room was cold, damp, musty, broken shower hose and broken lower shower trim. Toilet banged on the wall, bed was that cold it felt damp. Restaurant also cold. Breakfast fruit options seemed to be tinned fruit cocktail - no fresh fruit available. No fruit juice out on the second day. Set in beautiful grounds to explore. Having to find last minute options for food and drinks after breakfast until dinner was less than ideal and a real inconvenience to what was meant to a quiet relaxing few days in a manor hotel. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

We arrived for a Christmas dinner with our club. The room first given had dirty footprints through it, we were moved to a larger room which was ok , bathroom was dated with black mould around the base of the shower. We went down to the bar and had to keep looking for someone to serve us, lager was warm and not great. In the evening we had our Christmas doo in a separate room, no background music or crackers on the table and was dressed very sparse , the food was very second rate , service was poor especially from the older server . Then they announced that the bar was closing and we had to order last drinks even though we were residents for the evening. Breakfast was awful and we had to keep going to find the staff to get extra toast, tea etc . Certainly couldn’t recommend this hotel which is dated and 2nd rate, and we certainly won’t be returning.
