About Trelawne Hotel

Maenporth Road puts the Trelawne Hotel within easy reach of Cornwall's south coast, with walking routes along the coastal paths, sandy beaches nearby for watersports, and golf and fishing available for those who want to venture a little further. Falmouth itself, with its pubs, restaurants and harbour life, is close enough for an evening out, making the hotel a practical base for exploring this stretch of coastline.

The hotel itself is a small, family-run affair with just 12 rooms, each en-suite and generally described as cosy rather than grand. Some rooms look out over the garden, others towards the sea. Guests have use of a lounge, a restaurant serving free breakfast, a bar, and drinks brought to the room if preferred. Room service, laundry service, concierge help and 24-hour reception round out the practical side of a stay.

Outside, there's a garden to sit in, free on-site parking, and pets are welcome, which suits those touring the area with a dog in tow. It's a straightforward, well-run hotel rather than a destination in itself, with the coast and countryside around Falmouth doing much of the work for anyone staying there.

We stayed here last week whilst visiting Devon and Cornwall on a motorcycle. What a lovely place . Extremely welcoming and homely. Beautiful location. Shame there was no evening meal ( which we were aware of ) but had an exciting trek across the field to the pub. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel that is in a ideal area to just get away from normal town or city hussle and bussle as it has its surroundings in pure countryside and the sea to the other. As a consequence the room I stopped in had some fantastic views. The room was very large and had all the normal amenities available in the room. The only down side we found was that unfortunately we were working in the area and so we had to leave before breakfast was served each day. Breckfast is between 0800 and 0900, which was not negotiable and so no other alternate offered. Also the week we stayed we were no evening meals available, and as this hotel is slightly isolated, nothing was available within walking distance, and so a drive into Falmouth or other town is needed. Unfortunately, again in the week we were here, the wifi was not working as there was a fault with BT. Which doesn't really cater for business needs.

Very nice hotel overlooking the cliffs. A very sedate atmosphere, might recommend a different place for anyone traveling with kids. Kind staff helped us out with paracetamol while my husband was under the weather.

We stayed for one night whilst researching wedding venues and we couldn't rate it highly enough. Great location, great price and very friendly staff. The dog was made welcome too, we will definitely be back.
