About Meudon Hotel
Meudon Hotel occupies a country-house style building on Maenporth Road, just outside Falmouth, surrounded by subtropical gardens that stretch down towards the coast. A path through the grounds leads to a private beach, giving the place a secluded, unhurried character rather than the feel of a typical town-centre hotel.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and the hotel offers family and accessible options, along with a lift for easier access to upper floors. Guests can expect drinks in the room and room service alongside the usual comforts of free WiFi and laundry service. The restaurant serves breakfast and evening meals, including themed dinner nights, with a bar and outdoor seating for warmer days, and packed lunches available for days out. Service is generally attentive and friendly, though it can occasionally be slow at busier times.
Beyond the gardens and beach path, the surrounding area suits walking and cycling, with golf, fishing, horse riding and watersports all nearby, plus pubs and restaurants within easy reach. The hotel also has meeting rooms and works as a wedding venue, with airport parking or transfer arrangements available for those travelling in.
What guests say
The hotel and its setting are a great escape. The beautiful gardens make for an enjoyable stroll down to the mostly private beach. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated, and the beds very comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were very tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive - we received a warm welcome and they actively sort feedback on checkout. The hotel is so peaceful and quiet with plenty of wildlife to watch too (woodpeckers in the gardens). If you’re looking for somewhere to just stay and relax, or as somewhere as a great base for exploring what Cornwall has to offer it’s a great choice.

Lovely location with access to a dreamy cove. Nice room. Lovely staff in general especially the reception staff. Just would have liked to be able to eat with my dog in the restaurant, or as we couldn't, for there to be proper height tables to eat a meal from in the drawing room. We also got charged for breakfast that we didn't have, so got refunded on that. But overall, a lovely relaxing break and would go back again.

We called in for lunch. It was ok but not memorable. We were the only people having in the lounge/bar area. The hotel is definitely faded and needs a revamp. The furnishings are dated but comfortable. The decoration is eclectic. The service was fine but we felt that the food was taken out of packets and served without much attention to detail or imagination. The location is spectacular.

Like a hotel in the middle of The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Fabulous grounds with a sea view from our large balcony. Private beach down a shady track. Food was fabulous too. Rather secluded location with everything a drive away. Perfect for a quiet retreat.
