What guests say
My partner and I stayed at the Travelodge in Queen Street, Glasgow for 4 nights (13th-16th January 2026) and we're happy we chose this hotel for the following reasons. The staff are really lovely, friendly and accommodating & they made us feel very welcome, very much at home. Although the restaurants interior is somewhat uninspiring don't let that dissuade you from eating there. My partner & myself ate there twice and both times the food that the young chef prepared was delicious. The pizza Margherita that we shared on our last night before heading to catch our train was definitely one of the best I've ever eaten. There's also a Café Nero right next door which is ideal. So, if like us you're not a morning person, you can happily have a lie in, forgo breakfast and have it there instead. The location is perfect being near Argyle Street, Buchanan Street, Royal Exchange Square and St Vincent Street, amongst others. So, easy walking distance from a variety of different shops including M&S, The St Enochs Shopping Centre, as well as having a Tesco's and Sainsbury's Local supermarkets in the vicinity. We felt very much at home and had a great view of the city from our cosy double room on the 12th floor and the lifts are quick and were always readily available. We would most certainly stay there again & highly recommend choosing this hotel for all of the reasons listed above. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stayed with my partner for one night to go and see a band at King Tut's wah wah hut. The location was convenient, close to central station and queen street. Lots of shops, eateries and points of interest close by and within walking distance. Our room was on the 10th floor and at the end of the corridor, both lifts worked and everything was easy to navigate within the hotel. The room was clean and enough space for 2 people. There was also minimal noise from outside, apart from the occasional horn or loud exhaust going past. The bed was comfy and we didn't have any disturbances during the night so that was a bonus. Everything worked in the room, however the shower was a bit poor and powerless. The staff were friendly and helpful. We also booked breakfast and it was nice enough, all you can eat, lots of options. Would stay here again.

Very disappointing experience. We booked a family room, but were given a standard double room with two pull-out beds instead. This is clearly not the same and does not match what we paid for. When we raised the issue, we were told that this was their “largest room,” which is hard to believe. The room also does not match the photos shown on their website. The only solution offered was to book an additional room for £270 for two nights—which is completely unreasonable. To make it worse, the same hotel was offering double rooms on their website for around £150 at the time. There was no real attempt to resolve the situation or take responsibility. Additionally, the elevator constantly smelled of cannabis, which made the stay even more unpleasant. The room also didn’t have a fridge, which is quite basic for a family stay. On top of that, free WiFi is limited to just 30 minutes per day, which is unacceptable in this day and age. The only positive is that the room was clean, but that does not compensate for the poor service and misleading booking experience. Would not recommend.

It was clean and at good location, but here ends the positive review. Now the negative side: 1. Wifi was only 30 min per day. You have to pay for more 2. The additional beds are pull-out beds that only suit for 5 yo's There is more but I don't have the time.
