About Kirkpatrick House

Breakfast is included each morning at Kirkpatrick House, a 19th-century Georgian guesthouse in Kirkpatrick Fleming, just outside Gretna Green, and it sets a solid tone for a stay built around comfort rather than fuss. There's no restaurant on site, but pubs, eateries and entertainment can all be found nearby, so evenings are easily sorted a short trip from the door.

Rooms keep to a traditional style, with en-suite bathrooms throughout and family rooms available for those travelling in a group. The standout is a four-poster suite for guests wanting something a little more special. This is adults-only accommodation, and drinks can be brought to the room, while the garden, picnic area and outdoor seating give guests space to relax outside when the weather allows.

Free WiFi and 24-hour reception cover the practical side of things, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward. Outside, walking areas and garden views add to the sense of a quiet rural base, with Stony Holme Golf Club among the local points of interest for those wanting to venture out.

Just an hour out of Glasgow, it was a delight to stay at this B&B, I would highly recommend it for those who like a mature tradition setting, peace, quite and a chance to disconnect and unwind. Carol is so attentive and a fabulous host. I stayed for one night in the Amy Johnson suite and had a great nights sleep in this traditional manor house. It has a shared bathroom and I was fortunate to be the only one in that night. Everything is clean and tidy and I was thoroughly spoilt with breakfasting and enjoyed delicious home made jams along with my locally sourced English. I would recommend for couples and single travellers alike. Very nice!

Carol made us feel welcomed, she is a very good host. Never made to feel uncomfortable. The house is beautiful. Would highly recommend. It's peaceful and atmosphere was relaxed. The living room has a log fire and big tv to chill out and relax. The Egyptian theme was perfect for the bathroom. Jamie & Megan

The most wonderful location, and spacious grounds, fantastic breakie and graciously witty Housekeeper Carole made the stay for our wedding day ideal. Nothing was too much trouble and our four poster room was not only totally spotlessly clean but filled with yummie goodies, as for the Bathroom..... would like to have taken it with me, has to be seen to be believed the decor for the en-suite was fabulous! Many thanks Carole we will be back next time we visit bonnie Scotland. Marilyn and Ray love you and it!
