The Moorings Apartment

The Moorings Apartment is a two-floor base in Porthmadog, a working harbour town on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. A short walk brings you into town, while the estuary lies just 50 yards away. The ground floor has two bedrooms—one double, one with two singles—plus a shower room and separate toilet. Upstairs, an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and sitting room opens onto a private balcony overlooking the water. Parking for one car is on site.

The location puts you within reach of several draws. The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Steam Railway runs from the town, climbing 650 feet through Snowdonia foothills with views stretching from Caernarfon to the coast. Black Rock Sands offers a wide sandy beach a few minutes away; Portmeirion, an Italian-style village with shops, cafés and restaurants, is nearby. Harlech's UNESCO-listed castle and golden beach lie down the coast. For more active visitors, Zip World and Bounce Below are at Blaenau Ffestiniog. A kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge and freezer lets you self-cater. Heating, electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. One well-behaved pet stays free.
