Despite sitting just 10 minutes from Hereford's centre, Broadmeadow feels pleasantly remote – though the neighbouring flying club's grassy airstrip adds a quirky backdrop to your stay.
The heated shepherd's hut welcomes families and dogs, making a perfect base for tackling the steep mountain walks that rise from the surrounding land. After a day exploring the hills or riverside rambles at Symonds Yat (25 minutes away), the heated indoor swimming pool offers a welcome soak in the afternoons and evenings.
Evenings revolve around the provided firepit with outdoor seating and lanterns, or fire up the barbecue with supplies from the local shop five minutes' drive away. If you'd rather leave the cooking to someone else, several pubs sit within 10 minutes, or head into Hereford for wider choice. Note the pull-out floor mattress suits young children only.

We hired the whole site for a family trip and it was perfect. All of the cabins were well maintained and equipped. The pool, forest area and fields were fantastic for the kids. Excellent communication and help from Sally and Kev. Can't wait to come back.

We spent a rather wet Easter at Broadmeadows. Our extended family had all three accommodation sites. We enjoyed the evenings around the campfire, and the children had fun outside and playing in the forest area. The wonderful pool which we had to ourselves was a lifesaver in such grim weather. Our hosts were wonderful and extremely accommodating, keeping us warm, dry and cozy.

My family and I spent 2 nights there and we absolutely loved it. The hut was beautiful the setting was lovely and the owners were fantastic. Really kind family. My daughter loved it in the Forrest and the swimming pool , definitely be booking again. 👍
