Moat House 1

Fort Augustus sits on the banks of Loch Ness, and from Moat House 1 you're minutes away from the village itself—restaurants, shops, and the famous waterway are all within easy reach. The Great Glen Way passes through the area for walking and cycling; Urquhart Castle and other regional draws are a short drive. The apartment occupies part of a former abbey, converted into holiday lets that share facilities including a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, tennis court and children's playground (these need booking in advance).

The property spreads across two levels and has two separate entrances—one at ground level, which suits families with young children and luggage. Downstairs holds a bedroom with three single beds and a bathroom with a roll-top tub and separate shower. Upstairs, the master bedroom (once the abbey's armoury) has a kingsize bed, built-in wardrobes and a TV; the living room overlooks the main lawn with sofas including a sofa bed, and an extendable dining table. The kitchen is compact but equipped for proper cooking. Two bathrooms, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided; electricity and heating are included. Private parking for two cars is on site. No smoking inside.

The property sleeps five and suits families, groups of friends, or couples wanting space. Children and luggage through the ground-floor entrance remove the need to navigate stairs on arrival.
