Absolutely amazing location. Perfect accommodation for a weekend getaway. We were able to take our dog who had the best time. The hosts are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. All of the amenities you could need are there.

We've just returned from the most amazing last-minute trip, staying at Anchorage Wells. The owner Avril is very friendly and accommodating, with great communication. Location wise you can't get any better, being so close to the harbour and the wonderful cafes and shops in Wells. Despite being in such a good location we found plenty of free parking on street only steps away. We stayed in the Well Deck and it must have been recently renovated as it was immaculate and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We are already looking forward a future stay and highly recommend Anchorage Wells. Many thanks 😊

Dear Readers Please tune in to an honest review. We have been all over the U.K and stayed in many accommodations, we stayed in the lodge for a sunny week in wells. It’s clear that Avril and Simon have put a lot of effort into building this snug modern lodge for guests, beautifully finished and thought has gone into every aspect. It’s clear they live and breath the enjoyment of there guests and are personable and helpful - this is not just a business to them, you are made to feel like a local. Set back 50m from the main high street, this sunny and cosy lodge with parking is a beautiful base for a wells holiday. Just far away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to the shops, harbour, beach and bakery. I’m writing this currently sitting in the sunny lane on a bistro table enjoying the last few minutes before we depart. I work 60 hours a week and this is a reset that everyone needs, WiFi is strong enough to work and we had no issues with iPlayer and Netflix on the television. Evenings are quiet and peaceful and sitting in the viewing room stargazing was a lovely way to wind down the day. We are already looking at calendars to come back next year, there are lovely independent shops which cater to all tastes, lots of shopping and eating to be done. P.S the dog enjoys a pat.
