Wells-next-the-Sea is a working harbour town on the North Norfolk coast, surrounded by salt marshes and backed by pine woods. Clipper Cottage sits in a quiet courtyard in the village heart, among traditional flint and brick buildings. The harbour and its independent shops are a ten-minute walk away; an expanse of sand lies another mile beyond.
The cottage has two bedrooms (one double, one with singles), a shower room, and living space downstairs arranged around a woodburner. The kitchen is fitted for cooking properly—electric oven, dishwasher, and all the basics. Bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are included. There's an enclosed garden with patio and seating, parking for one car, and the essentials for a self-catering stay are provided. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
The location works for families wanting a seaside base without driving far. The beach itself is sandy and sheltered. Holkham Hall and its parkland are two miles away; Burnham Market, known for its restaurants and galleries, is five miles. For something different, the RSPB reserve at Cley is nearby, and the Broads are an hour's drive inland. No smoking inside.

We have just spent 5 days at this beautiful cottage. The location is excellent, easily walkable to the shops, path to the beach and pubs and places to eat. The cottage is lovely and warm and for added warmth there is a log burner. It is clean, tidy and has everything you’d want and more. The interior is beautifully done out, with a lovely new kitchen which is spotless and a great bathroom with a more than adequate shower. The master bedroom has the most comfortable bed we’ve slept in, both bedrooms are lovely. There is an area outside for sitting and a nice private garden, there is also a parking space outside which is brilliant. Highly recommend this cottage, it’s everything you’d want and more. We’ve stayed in many different places and this ranks with those at the top of the list. Feeling sad to be home, we will be back.
