About The Dilkhusa Grand Hotel by Compass Hospitality

The Dilkhusa Grand Hotel is Ilfracombe's largest hotel, a long-standing seaside property in the town centre with 98 en-suite rooms across a range of single, double, twin and family layouts, several with garden views. It sits just minutes from the harbour, beaches and Landmark Theatre.

The hotel is built around traditional British seaside holiday entertainment, with tribute nights, bingo and live singers featuring regularly in its programme, alongside an on-site restaurant and bar. Pet-friendly rooms are available, and on-site parking is offered for a small nightly charge.

Its scale and central position make it a straightforward, good-value base for exploring the town on foot, particularly for groups and families who want entertainment laid on without leaving the building.

Very impressed with this hotel, I feel the reviews on this place are quite harsh. I booked a double room with garden view for less than £80, during high season this is a great deal when everything else was £100 upwards. The room was generously sized, I loved the large windows and high ceilings. The bedroom part of it newly decorated as was the check in area and bar. Other areas like the corridor are a bit worn down and dated but it’s clear they are working through the place to get it to a modern standard. The bathroom needed redecorating, the extractor fan was hanging off but the shower was hot. Bed was comfortable also and a good amount of pillows. Staff were friendly, check in was easy and in a fantastic location within Ilfracombe. Parking was a bit of a struggle, the car park was rather small for the size of the hotel and was full upon arrival, we managed to find parking on a close by street but this obviously cannot be helped by the hotel. Overall, I would say this hotel is excellent value for money and I would stay here again.

Room was spotless, all you can eat continental breakfast for £6 was a bargain, cereal, juice, toast, yoghurt, cheese, fruit, coffee, tea, muffins, croissants and pain au chocolate, option for £12 unlimited cooked which looked delicious. Staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Felt very welcome. Lift available. Lots of free on road parking outside from 6pm til 10am. Great budget hotel, would stay again

5 ⭐️ across the board, taking into consideration what The Dilkhusa Grand is. The price suggests 'cheap and cheerful' and that's pretty much what you get, and more. It's the "more" that counts. My standards: Hot water, Clean sheets, Friendly and helpful staff, and A relaxing atmosphere. ALL boxes were ticked, and more. We were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who gave us all of the pertianant information regarding our stay. We had a problem with the heating, which turned out to be user error, but the staff member dealt with it without making me feel like an idiot (even though it was my own idiocy). 'Problem' resolved within 5 minutes. All in all, an incredibly comfortable stay. Would we choose to stay there again? In a flash. Thank you for making our weekend getaway very pleasant indeed. We will see you again.
