Without a doubt this is one of the best places we have stayed. We chose it as a base for a week to see Devon and Cornwall based on previous reviews and knew as soon as we arrived we’d made a good choice. From the warm welcome with tea and scones to the last day we felt really well cared for. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was just delicious. My only complaint is you’ve made my usual fruit and yogurt at home feel very dull in comparison to the beautifully presented dish we had every morning this week! Nick and Andrew are the perfect hosts, the house is beautifully decorated and our room was very clean and had everything we needed including decaffeinated coffee when Nick realised I drank it. He even made me a delicious cafetière of ground decaf every morning. We would definitely recommend.

I stayed at Grosvenor House in Ilfracombe for one night while attending a wedding, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, Nick and Andrew were incredibly welcoming hosts, going above and beyond to accommodate an earlier check-in, which made the day run so much more smoothly. The bedroom was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was clear that a lot of care and attention had gone into making guests feel at home. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful—fresh, delicious, and the perfect start to the day. Overall, Grosvenor House offers a warm, friendly atmosphere with excellent service, and I would happily stay again.

Just spent a flawless long weekend at Grosvenor House! Immaculately clean all over the property, including the bathroom and dining room. Comfy bed with soft, quality sheets, pillows and duvet. Wonderful breakfast with lots of choice for carnivores and vegetarians alike - and I noted with admiration that the food and service remain perfect whether the hosts are feeding 2, 4 or 6 guests! And speaking of the hosts, Nick and Andrew made us feel so welcome: from scones and orange juice on arrival, to a birthday treat for my partner, to all the recommendations and advice they gave, they are great blokes and fabulous hosts. Thank you again.

What an amazing place, my family stayed here one night in two rooms, hosts Andrew and Nick were attentive, gracious and welcoming. The rooms were very clean with comfortable beds. We were offered tea and scones on arrival, the breakfast was amazing. Night recommend it.
