About Waverley Guest House
Union Street runs through the centre of Inverness, and Waverley Guest House sits among its rows of townhouses, putting guests within easy reach of the city itself and within striking distance of Culloden Battlefield out towards the surrounding Highlands countryside.
The guest house has 27 rooms, and a breakfast is served each morning to set guests up for the day. Other facilities include a restaurant, free WiFi, luggage storage, laundry service, and a 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals and departures. Free on-site parking is also available, a useful bonus for anyone touring the Highlands by car.
Rooms are generally kept clean and the staff are noted for being helpful and accommodating, though some rooms and fittings can show their age and a few amenities don't always work as they should. For location alone, though, it's hard to beat: everything in central Inverness is close at hand, with the wider Highlands landscape and its historic sites just a short drive away.

Title: Pleasantly surprised! Don't let the bad reviews scare you off. Rating: 4/5 We stayed here for one night to catch a show at Eden Court, and I’ll admit I was nervous after reading some of the horror stories online. However, our experience was actually very positive! The Room: Check-in was speedy and our room looked great. It was clear the staff had put in the effort: the bed linen was crisp, the carpets were clean, and the bathroom and shower were absolutely spotless. We had plenty of towels and a well-stocked hospitality tray with tea, coffee, and milk. The Catch: We were tucked away on the top floor, which is a bit of a climb—be prepared for plenty of steps! Also, while the electric shower provided great hot water, the drain was a bit sluggish. I had to cut my shower short to make sure the water didn't overflow onto the floor. Service & Food: The staff were lovely, especially a very kind lady originally from Banchory who made us feel right at home. Breakfast was a bit of a "strange affair" but offered plenty of variety, including toast, pain au chocolat, Scotch pancakes, croissants, fresh fruit, and a huge selection of cereals. Verdict: Based on our stay, I suspect your experience depends entirely on which room you’re assigned. We clearly got a good one! It was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a quick city stay.

Awful experience. We stayed at Waverley Inn Apartments in Inverness and were shocked by the condition of the apartment. There was blood on the bed, dead insects on the bedding, and hair and dirt all over the floor. It was completely unacceptable and not fit for guests. We reported the problems immediately, but no satisfactory solution was offered. We had to find alternative accommodation at short notice, which caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience to our trip. To make matters worse, getting help afterwards was extremely difficult. Based on our experience, I would not recommend staying here. Cleanliness and basic hygiene should never be compromised.

I don’t know how anyone can rate this dirty smoke smelling and molded place!!! There is fake adds about this hotel and I would carefully look before booking!!

Well unfortunately the room I stayed in was bad especially the bathroom with shower waste water going very slowly in draining away plus mould on the ceiling plus no plug in sink. Plus big room no wardrobes or lamp plus curtains was hanging off and very dirty around the window as well shouldn't have being available to stay in not very good standard
