My husband and I spent bank holiday weekend at the Hermiston Guest House. It was our first time at the Lake District, and Phil kindly advised us on where to go and what to see. We ended up going around Derwent Water and Catbells, which was only a short drive away. We actually ended up walking there and the walk was absolutely stunning and scenic. The guest house itself overlooks the hills, and it just feels so magical and whimsical. Breakfast was also 10/10. I'd highly recommend staying here.

We recently stayed for 2 nights to do some hiking in the Lakes. We had a wonderful stay! Phil was very accommodating on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. The place had a lovely homely feel that made you feel quite at ease. Breakfast sheets are provided the night before for you to fill out and everything is cooked to order at the time you specify. The food was incredible! Helen did a wonderful job of breakfast both days and this set us up for our days of exploring. The room was a great size, comfortable and with everything we needed, plus was topped up and tidied each day which is lovely to come back to. Each room had an en-suite which was a great addition as not all B&Bs do. The B&B was in an ideal location for us and the village of Braithwaite was lovely, some lovely local pubs and a village shop which sold amazing cakes. Overall had an amazing short break in the Lake District made even better by the hospitality of Hermiston Guest House and Phil. Thank you again

Great experience staying at the Hermiston. Room was immaculate, breakfast was ample and very tasty. Phil was extremely welcoming. Great pub in the village too and Keswick right on your doorstep. Would highly recommend a stay.
