We really enjoyed our bouldering and gym sessions at Chalk Up! A really good range of climbing problems for all levels, loved the top out boulder in the middle! Really friendly, helpful staff, excellent traditional and CrossFit gym and hot showers. Strongly recommend- we will be back!

So lucky to have this in the local area. My daughter started the junior climbing club on a Saturday morning this year and she absolutely loves it. The coach is brilliant and the sessions are the perfect mix of climbing skills and games and fitness.

Popped in for a climb whilst in the area. Decent little bouldering gym, fairly good size and well put together. Was impressed with the pricing, a good few £ cheaper than I'm used to paying to climb recreationally as a non-member (£13.50 at time of writing). The route setting is on the mellow side, which is not a bad thing necessarily, it's clearly geared primarily towards new climbers and it's not in any way intimidating. Feedback wise- there isn't much in the way of overhang routes, with only one small section. The top out boulder in the middle is a nice addition though, something a bit different. Good variety of holds and problems, and everything is in good condition being very new. Would recommend if you're passing through, and if you're local, ideal time and place to pick up a new hobby.

Great climbing facilities. Plenty of space with quality walls. They have invested in varied hold types which is used efficiently via a coloured tag system instead of restricting circuit difficulty to a set of coloured holds. Mikey and the team at Beta Setting do an great job, with regular resets.
