We went to see The Odyssey, and while the film itself was excellent, the cinema experience was absolutely awful. The ventilation in the screening room was completely inadequate. It was unbearably hot and stuffy, to the point where we could barely concentrate on the film. As the screening went on, the air became increasingly suffocating, and by the end, we were genuinely developing headaches because of how poor the air circulation was. It was extremely uncomfortable and completely unacceptable for a cinema. To make matters worse, the sound was ridiculously loud and poorly adjusted. It wasn’t immersive or enjoyable; it was simply irritating and physically uncomfortable. The only positive aspects were the film itself and the excellent picture quality. Unfortunately, even a great film with a fantastic picture cannot make up for such an uncomfortable screening environment. It is incredibly disappointing to pay for a cinema experience and then spend the entire film feeling overheated, uncomfortable, and overwhelmed by unnecessarily loud sound. The movie was great, and the picture quality was excellent. The cinema experience, however, was terrible.

I don’t know why people dislike this cinema. I saw The Odyssey here, and it was fantastic. I am over from Belfast for my birthday, and I had a great experience. The only disappointing thing was that there was no bottled water for sale at all. Come on, not everyone wants fizzy drinks! Other than that, the screen was well lit during the film, and the recliner seats were awesome. The layout of the cinema is excellent. I am going back to see Toy Story 5 today. I just wish I had seen Spider Man here instead of at Everyman. The odessy was amazing but a warning about witch craft would been good.

Decent screen (IMAX), not as big as Printworks but oh well. Need to get the AC sorted out though. Even at a 9PM showing, the theatre was like Odeon had perfectly bottled the feeling of stepping off a plane to a tropical country for 3 hours straight. Do not go if it is warmer than 20⁰ out.

I recently visited Odeon Liverpool One and unfortunately had to leave the film after just 15 minutes. The cinema was unbearably hot with little to no air-conditioning working at all. Within minutes I was sweating and extremely uncomfortable, to the point where watching the rest of the film was impossible. I had paid extra for a premium seat, but it really wasn’t worth the money. The seat felt worn and offered no additional comfort to justify the upgrade. The whole cinema looked dirty and clearly in need of a refurbishment – grubby carpets, tired decor, and a general sense of neglect. What made it worse was the complete lack of any warning about the air-conditioning failure. No one mentioned it when we bought tickets or entered the screen. That’s very poor customer service – customers deserve to know in advance so they can decide whether it’s worth staying. Overall, this was a hugely disappointing experience that completely ruined what should have been a nice evening out. The heat, lack of warning, and poor state of the venue made it impossible to enjoy. I won’t be returning to this branch until they sort out the basics.
