About Epic Aparthotel - Duke Street
Epic Aparthotel - Duke Street occupies a compact, contemporary building tucked into Liverpool's city centre, with just 14 apartments giving it a smaller, more intimate feel than the big chain hotels nearby. The style throughout is modern rather than historic, with clean lines and a straightforward layout that suits both short stays and longer city breaks.
Rooms come with comfortable beds and air conditioning, along with in-room drinks, and guests have access to a restaurant, breakfast service, free WiFi, and a garden for some outdoor space. There's also meeting room capacity for those combining business with a city visit, plus luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures. Free on-site parking is a useful bonus in a city centre location. Maintenance can be inconsistent from room to room, and reaching the team directly has proved difficult for some, even though communication is generally well regarded.
Duke Street puts guests within reach of the Royal Albert Dock and Liverpool ONE, as well as the city's wider cultural attractions, with pubs, bars and restaurants nearby for evenings out. It's a practical base for exploring Liverpool on foot, with the apartment format giving a bit more space and independence than a standard hotel room.

What guests say
The room was stunning and we were super excited when we got there, great location, really spacious. Only to find out a lot of things in the room just did not work. The aircon didn’t work, and it was about 25 degrees that day, the window in the bedroom wouldn’t open, the wifi wouldn’t work properly. The TV also wouldn’t play anything for more than about 20 seconds, which i’m presuming is related to the wifi issue. The sofa bed didn’t seem to come together right and did not flatten out, could have been user error but I couldn’t really see any other way it could have went. The bathroom door also wouldn’t lock, and when we came back after being out at night the bathroom drains stank really bad of rotten eggs. The rubbish bin lid wouldn’t close either, which is not a big deal but at that point we just found it funny like ‘of course that’s broken too’. Really was a shame that just so many things had problems with them. We did find the room was very clean so that was a positive.

I would like to thank you for the pleasant stay we had at Epic Apartments on Duke Street. The location is great, close to the city centre and everything within walking distance. Communication was excellent, with clear instructions, and the apartment looked clean. All appliances worked properly, and the beds were very comfortable. As a small suggestion: perhaps consider replacing the sofa bed, as it is really due for an upgrade — or no longer classify it as a sofa bed.

Had no hot water for 24 hrs, paid for early check in and it was a complete waste of time. Couldn’t get ready like we planned. Paid £200 for the tiniest room. Lighting was rubbish to do make up as was on the bottom floor, outside the window stunk of wee. Pictures are so different online. The hotel was also full of a stag do which was rowdy

EPIC fail! The accommodation was tatty and poorly maintained. The sofa was covered in stains, marks all over the walls. The kitchen had dents in the wall where the peddle bin had been smashed repeatedly into the wall. Every room had a fire door which wouldn't stay open, so felt like you were shut in. By far the worst thing, black hair all up the walls in the shower, definitely hadn't been cleaned. Tried to make contact with the host to no avail, we were completely ignored. Stay well clear, by far one of the worst places I've ever stayed.
