What guests say
Update in response to the owner: Thank you for the response. We were unable to flag the issues during our stay due to our tight schedule. However, your team's claim that they couldn't verify the issues without photos is hard to believe. A leaking bathroom and a gum-like substance on the wall should have been noticed before our arrival, and definitely should have been clocked by housekeeping immediately after our checkout. Waiting over 24 hours for an email response only made matters worse. The 20% lift refund is appreciated, but it doesn't make up for the poor room standards. This email has been sent to staycity regarding a recent stay of mine. I am yet to have even an acknowledgement. Firstly, there was no air conditioning available, and the fans provided were ineffective and did little to cool the apartment. This made the stay extremely uncomfortable. In addition, the lift was out of order for the duration of our stay. We were required to walk to the top floor with no prior warning, assistance, or consideration given to guests who may have mobility issues or luggage. The cleanliness of the apartment was also unacceptable. We found a sock left behind from a previous tenant in the lounge, the floors were visibly grimy, there were splatters of toothpaste on the door frames in the ensuite bathroom, and there was a substance resembling chewing gum stuck to the bedroom wall. To make matters worse, the main bathroom had a leak whenever the shower was used, which made it difficult to use and raised concerns about maintenance and safety. It is a shame as I had stayed previously and it was fantastic. *Staycity have since been in touch and stated it is on their website about the lift. However it should be stated throughout the booking process, not just a line on the website. Due to not taking photos of the issues I had they are not willing to offer anything more than a small offer of goodwill. *

I stayed here with 2 young children. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and spacious. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. I found the location great and didnt seem to hear any noise, which was a bonus. The apartments seemed secure and the main door to the building is locked at nighttime so you can't enter unless reception let you in. The apartment was well decorated and generally in a good state, but the living room/ kitchen door did not stay closed. This was a worry, as im assuming its a fire door and should remain closed due to it leading to and from the kitchen. I raised this with the receptionist who said he would take a look at it. We stayed on the first floor and even with a lift, this is pretty hard to access with a pram and young children, as you have to take the stairs to get to the lift. The only way to avoid the stairs is to walk through the car park. I felt unsafe doing so as I was alone with 2 young children and the car park is accessible from the street to the general public. This wouldn't put me off staying again if I was on a different floor, as the apartment was great value for money and the staff were great. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend staying here.

Really enjoyed our stay! Some tiny aesthetic issues (chipped paint, etc.) but the hotel was super clean, rooms were spacious, beds were really comfortable and location was fantastic, within walking short distance of Liverpool One, Albert Docks, plenty of great restaurants and pubs and both the Liverpool Centre train station (local) and Liverpool Lime Rail Station (country-wide travel)! Would DEFINITELY stay here again!

What a fantastic place, we had a 3 bed apartment, it was more than what was expected. The living room, dining area and kitchen was fantastic, well equipped. The bedrooms were spacious, 2 with en-suites and a main bathroom.... just fabulous 👌
