What visitors say
Linear park with riverside views. Very pleasant with reasonable free car park accessed just off St Michael's bridge. Childrens play area, gated is next to The Hutt cafe which serves hot snacks, jacket spuds, toasties etc , a few cakes and lovely ice cream. Toilets there for customers only. Play park is free and has this fabulous old maze, very popular with young and old, never seen one like it, would love to know it's history. Some parts of play park looking a little tired, especially wooden ships and zip wire appears out of action. Next door was a paid bouncy castle, presumably just for peak times. Further down is the bowls pavillion with free toilets, paid trampolines and mini golf. Didn't actually make it to the Kingholm Rd end, but imagine it's well kept and peaceful like the rest of the park. Shame it doesn't have a sandpit, but they are quite rare in this area we've found.

Lovely park in the heart of Dumfries with a riverside walk. Spoilt for choice as there's a cafe, kids play area, bowls, putting green, crazy golf, kiddy trampolines, plenty of picnic spots plus a nice pizzeria and bar that back onto the park. Also a range of memorials including one for the Titanic and local musician who played as the ship went down. Love this park as you can walk straight into another at Castledykes with it's sunken garden then onto the Critchton and / or Kingholm Quay and The Swan. 👍😁

This has a lovely play area with free parking. A very nice café and clean public toilets not too far away in the bowling green building. It had swings, a maze, slides, a roundabout and a zip line which was working. By the bowling green there were trampolines which were £1.50/15 minutes play. There was also mini golf.
