Sadly our Lodge was past its best, looking tired and worn. We chose it as it was advertised as accessible and there was a ramp to the door, however, in the bedroom, the bed was too large for the small room making manoevering difficult. The other room was small with 2 single beds. Tthe shower floor had no lip which was good, and a chair to sit on in the shower itself. The sofa in the living area was very low and not really suitable for someone with a disability. Sitting for a long time in a wheelchair though is not good. The bathroom was adequate but again in dire need of repair and upgrade. For example the shelf had come off the wall and not been replaced. The shower still used an old fashioned curtain. The kitchen was basic and in need of a new oven. If you are planning to do any cooking you would certainly need to bring your own mixing bowls and some small utensils for stirring etc as none are provided. There are 3 large kitchen knives but no small ones so making cutting difficult. Take a few dishwasher tablets. We were left 3 for a 4 night break. Having said all that the heating was extremely efficient so you won't be cold whenever you go. The bed was fabulously comfortable so you can be guaranteed a good night's sleep. The wifi signal is good so no problems there. The lodges are perfectly placed to visit a wealth of sites - castles and stately homes, scenic loch drives, beautiful forest walks and many interesting towns so there is plenty to keep you busy whatever your interests are. The site has its own fishing permit too for the stretch alongside the site and there is no extra charge to fish.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few days for our anniversary and it was genuinely a lovely place to be! It was so quiet and peaceful! The lodge itself was so spacious and had everything we needed. The beds were clean and comfy, the shower/bath hot water was just perfect, the whole place was just amazing. This is definitely somewhere we would love to come back to and revist. The price for a 2 night stay was tremendous aswell. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back in the future!

After a long drive from the East of England, nothing could have been more welcoming than these lodges. The beds are soft and comfortable, the lodge clean and well equipped for cooking and relaxing. With the River Tay just a short walk away, it is an excellent spot to capture some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. If you step outside in the morning with your coffee to relax on the porch area, you will no doubt hear the many local birds chirping away - genuinely the best way to start any day, whether you're here for work or leisure. If you're coming from the south, I would recommend a stop at Perth on the way up to get food etc. if convenient, or it is not an unreasonable distance to go for a larger town's shops. Equally, Pitlochry is not a far drive for shopping. If you're looking for things to do, House of Braur is again close by, and Loch Lomond and Loch Ness are within day-trip distance. Beauty and peace definitely dominate the many positives with these lodges. I look forward to staying here anytime I am in the area.
