Wow absolutely beautiful food! This was our second time eating at The Britannia, the meat is cooked to perfection with great flavours. Excellent customer service, a very welcoming atmosphere and lovely ambience. Not to mention the extensive drinks menu! Will be coming back for sure, thank you!

* DOG FRIENDLY * Casual comforting pub with the best grill in the area. We had the sharing platter and the chicken wings and split this between the 4 of us. We're not super huge eaters so this was the perfect amount for us, leaving room for desert. It was scrumptous. The meat just fell off the bone, super tasty, a bit of everything - the platter should be your go to order. Impressive scotch / whisky list so we also indulged in a flight, and some cocktails. Service was attentive, helpful and with a smile. A little out of the way, but that's good. You can actually hear each other talk. Highly highly highly recommend. PS. water and biscuits were brought out for the dog, twice!

As someone with coeliac disease, eating out can often be stressful. It's not always easy to find a pub that's willing to go the extra mile, so when somewhere does, it deserves to be recognised. A huge thank you to the gentleman who looked after our table and to the chef for taking such great care with my meal. The waiter checked with the chef that every ingredient was safe, kept me updated throughout, and the chef even cleaned the grill especially for my gluten-free burger to avoid any cross-contamination. That level of care meant a lot. The food was delicious, and to top it all off, the waiter kindly took my meal off the bill because it took a little longer to arrive than everyone else's. It was such a thoughtful gesture and completely unexpected. This was one of the best experiences I've had eating out since being diagnosed. If the management team is reading this, please pass on my thanks to everyone involved and give them all a raise! They made me feel genuinely welcome and safe, and I can't recommend this pub highly enough!

Fantastic top shelf selection. Also sells food and has a jungle beer garden.
