About Commodore Hotel

Eighty-nine rooms make up the Commodore Hotel, set on Lancaster Gate within easy walking distance of Paddington station and Hyde Park. It's a straightforward city base for those who want to be central without paying for a flashy address, and the location near the park and transport links is its strongest card.

Rooms come with air conditioning, drinks facilities and family options where needed, and the hotel adds a gym, lift access, porter and concierge services, plus meeting rooms for those combining business with a stay. Breakfast is served on-site, and free WiFi runs throughout. Some rooms are on the smaller side and show their age, and sound can travel between them, so light sleepers may want to bear that in mind. There's no parking at the hotel itself.

Outside the front door, Hyde Park offers space for a walk, and the surrounding streets have pubs, restaurants and other eateries within easy reach. Staff are attentive and rooms are kept clean, which combined with the location makes this a practical choice for exploring London on foot or by train from nearby Paddington.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at in London, and it will definitely be my regular choice for future visits. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any requests, whether at reception or in other areas of the hotel. The location is excellent and peaceful, the breakfast is varied and complete, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of service provided. The hotel is very clean, the air conditioning works perfectly, the bed is extremely comfortable, and the room was excellent. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. This hotel will definitely be my preferred place to stay in London in the future.

A major factor in giving 5* is that we got a lovely unexpected upgrade from a standard double to the Victoria Suite. That said, reception were fantastic and the room is great, a split level with a lounge area and the bedroom on a mezzanine. Very clean and well decorated, comfy bed and pillows, superb shower, great aircon. None of the noise problems in this particular room, though the door closes with a crash if you don't hold it. Minus 0.1 of a star for the little bottle of fresh milk not being in the fridge so it was off.

The Commodore hotel was directly across the street from hyde park and a short walk to kenssington palace. Everything was clean and operated well. We had a large walk out balcony with our room that we didn't utilize but it was nice. The breakfast is a great deal and has lots of options for a hot breakfast. We actually ate breakfast there everyday. Everything in London seems very spread out and long walks, but bus stops are 1 block away and easy to get to the other side of the city.

Pictures look very nice. But the reality is very different …. It isn t what i expected. Small rooms bathrooms squeaky beds dirty carpets tiny hallways. We stay at level 7. Lift only goes to level 6. There is a loud noise every 30 seconds that is very bothering during the night. Defo not worth the money… they need to invest. Specially in cleaning…
