About DoubleTree by Hilton London Angel Kings Cross

The stretch between Angel and King's Cross is one of London's better-connected corners, with Upper Street's shops and restaurants a short walk one way and major rail and Underground links the other. DoubleTree by Hilton London Angel Kings Cross sits on Pentonville Road in the middle of it all, offering 381 rooms across five floors, making it a practical base for both business trips and city breaks.

Rooms are en-suite and air-conditioned, with family and accessible options available, plus drinks in room and the usual comforts of a large chain hotel. Some guests have noted the air conditioning isn't always consistent, but the rooms themselves are generally described as comfortable, clean, and well-proportioned. Breakfast gets particular praise, with a wide-ranging buffet, and staff throughout the hotel, including in the restaurant and executive lounge, are noted for their attentiveness.

On-site facilities extend to a bar, gym, meeting rooms, and business services, along with room service, laundry, concierge, and luggage storage for those passing through. Parking is available on-site for a charge. With pubs, restaurants, and entertainment nearby, plus straightforward access to central London via the neighbouring transport hubs, it works well as a starting point for exploring the city.

The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location. It’s close to several bus stops, and King’s Cross station is only a short walk away, so getting around London was really easy. The room itself was decent and the bed was comfortable enough. Everything worked fine, so no major complaints there. The breakfast, though, was a bit disappointing. We stayed for a few days, and it was pretty much the exact same selection every morning. The food wasn’t bad, but I was hoping for a little more variety. The reception staff were okay. They weren’t rude, but they also didn’t seem very welcoming or friendly. It felt more like they were just doing their job and nothing more. Housekeeping was probably the biggest letdown. They would make the bed and clean the bathroom, but the room didn’t really feel properly cleaned. Our trash wasn’t always emptied, and things like the iron or hair dryer were left wherever we had used them instead of being put back. It felt more like a quick tidy-up than a proper room clean. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but for the price we paid, I honestly expected better service and attention to detail, especially from a DoubleTree by Hilton. The location is great, but I don’t think the overall experience matched the price.

The rooms overall are clean, comfy and relaxing. Had no problems with the room, the air con worked perfectly and the beds were really comfy. The services was quick and friendly. When it comes to requesting a few things for the room it was easily done by staff members and they always had a smile. What topped it off with the stay was the bar staff who made the night more friendly and comfortable. I don't want to point them out but Lewis and Saakshi was a delight. With laughter and conversation they made the night. Would not recommend them enough. Get yourself over to the Hilton for a comfy and enjoyable stay

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this DoubleTree hotel. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and perfectly adequate for our needs. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of options. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast service. Manahil took care of us every morning during our 7-day stay and was always incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. Her excellent service made a real difference and deserves special recognition. The only disappointing part of our experience was that the hotel would not store our luggage while we were away for 7 days, even though we were returning to stay at the same hotel afterward. This meant we had to carry all of our luggage during our trip, which was very inconvenient. We had hoped the hotel would be more flexible in this situation. Overall, it was a good stay, but improving the luggage storage policy for returning guests would make the experience even better.
