About Megaro Hotel
Belgrove Street sits right by the station forecourts of King's Cross and St Pancras, one of London's busiest corners, and Megaro Hotel makes the most of that position with a striking painted mural covering its exterior. It's a landmark you can't miss on a street otherwise lined with modest terraces, and it puts guests within easy reach of the capital's rail network from the moment they step outside.
Inside, the 49 rooms are spacious by city standards and each has its own distinct design, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and complimentary snacks and drinks included. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, along with a bridal suite and VIP facilities for those marking a special occasion. Air conditioning helps in summer, though some rooms do pick up noise from the surrounding streets, worth bearing in mind if you're a light sleeper.
The hotel has its own restaurant and bar, plus a garden and outdoor seating for quieter moments, and breakfast, room service and laundry service are all on offer. Staff are attentive and quick to help with local recommendations. Concierge and business services suit both leisure and work trips, while the location near major stations makes onward travel, including day trips such as Chessington World of Adventures, straightforward.

We were really excited to stay here after looking at images online. Upon arrval- friendly reception- we were booked in early and appreciated this. The room was one of the 'design' rooms but they are rather small; lovley walk-in shower and fab toilietries, however, the flush on the toilet was VERY poor; I have stomach conditions and was very anxious about this inefficiency- even my husband commented. Stoarge is quite good- drawers made a refreshing change! The hairdryer is AWFUL- a very short wire that only just reached the only plug near a mirror- not a real mirror but actually a recessed area in the wardrobe- be warned! If you have long/thick hair and you like your own hairdryer, I would bring it... The room was a little noisy as works taking place o/s at the building opposite- grindiners and clanging quite late and then again quite early. We did not breakfast as we prefer to explore local places but we did vist the bar on the last night- the service was professional and friendly and the bar is 'cool' as were the cocktails althogh quite expensive- £30 for two! It was also VERY cold down there. When we left we were able to leave our luggage at reception- thank you, but we were NOT asked about our stay at all- I found this very strange. If we had been asked, I would have shared my issues there and then...The gentleman on the morning of our departure was cool and disinterested- not the best final impression. Location in great- we arrived by train- a quick walk across the street and the Picadilly line takes you to all the usual spots in Town. The Coal Office area nearby is well worth a walk for drinks/food/greenery. Might stay again if I coud be reassured of changes to toilet/room layout...But lots of good paces in London and this is not cheap- I had hoped we might get a room upgrade as we were there M/T/W, but no luck.

Extremely disappointing experience. I genuinely do not understand how this is considered a five-star hotel. During our stay, construction work directly outside the hotel continued throughout the night. The drilling was so loud and intense that the beds were PHYSICALLY SHAKING. We stayed on the third floor and could literally see the heavy construction machinery working right outside our window. None of us could sleep properly. I personally barely slept the entire night. What made it even worse was the completely unprofessional response from the hotel. I called reception several times asking for a solution. I was repeatedly told that it was “government construction” and that the receptionist could also “feel the shaking.” I understand that the hotel does not control government construction, but WHY IS THAT THE GUEST’S PROBLEM? I paid the hotel for a room where I could sleep. Providing a reasonably quiet and usable room at night is the absolute minimum I expect from any hotel, let alone a five-star one. And the solution? Earplugs. Hello?? Earplugs do not stop a bed from physically shaking. Reception also told me they would speak to the construction workers, but nobody followed up with us. I had to call AGAIN because the situation was really unbearable. Only then was I told that the construction would apparently continue until 2 a.m. As if 2 am is somehow an acceptable time for hotel guests to finally be able to sleep. To sum up: No room change. No meaningful solution. Unprofessional service. No proper follow-up. No compensation at all. This was the worst experience. 5-star prices should come with 5-star service, or at the very least, A ROOM WHERE YOU CAN ACTUALLY SLEEP. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel. Please do NOT waste your money here!

We had a fantastic stay at The Megaro. Upon check in we were greeted by Jason who was super helpful, polite and friendly. The hotel had a lovely vibe to it and when we got into our room (the diesel room) it was gorgeous and then we were greeted with a fantastic view of St Pancras hotel. In the morning we had breakfast and were also looked after by Sabrina who was lovely too. Overall experience was great, gorgeous place to stay, perfect location for us coming into London St Pancras by train and the staff were attentive. Would highly recommend The Megaro and thank you Jason and Sabrina for your excellent customer service.

Spent 3 days there and it was 5 star all the way. Had all the little touches needed to give you that feel9ng that you were sitting in luxury. Perfect location. Special mention has to go to Jason and Chiara. They certainly went above and beyond and were most helpful in every way. My fiance and I loved it so much that it is our hotel in London now. Already booked to go back on the bank holiday weekend. 😁😁
