Montcalm Royal London House-City of London

This is the best hotel I’ve been to in a while. When you come in you’re greeted with a smile, everyone is so lovely and welcoming. I came here before with my boyfriend and decided to take my friend for her birthday too. We were served by Adriana and Josh who were amazing. They certainly gave the 5 star experience, they were so accommodating and definitely made my experience worth while! They really really REALLY deserve their flowers. The room was nicely decorated too which was so cute, we really appreciated it & that view was great! The spa facilities were lovely no complaints there either. I had a wonderful time with Tamara during breakfast, so engaging and attentive she definitely deserves flowers too!! It’s nice knowing that mont calm has such a sweet team. Checking out with Jolo was such a breeze too he’s very funny! I’m wishing you all a wonderful day and if I have reiterated enough the hotel in general was amazing.

I visited with my boyfriend for our anniversary and the stay was wonderful. The facilities were very nice and clean. The gym is a decent size and is enough for a great workout. I have no complaints at all I would definitely visit again. Divine was absolutely wonderful and was able to create such a lovely set up. The strawberries were delicious also. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet too, there’s definitely something there for everyone.

We had a great time at the Montcalm Royal London House. From the moment we walked in we felt so welcome, the guy on the front door was so friendly and helpful. When we arrived to the room we discovered that it was beautifully decorated by Myroslava which was such a pleasant surprise! It was my partner's birthday and that made it extra special. My partner was also on crutches, and the staff could not do enough to make sure we were comfortable. Exceptional customer service from everyone we met. We will definitely come back.

The property itself was absolutely beautiful. The hotel has a spa on the lower floor that consists of a swimming pool, jacuzzis, steam room, infra red sauna, gym and treatment rooms. They also have their own bar with built in brewery which we were unaware of but was absolutely fantastic. Now the important part... The staff- the hotel staff are absolutely top tier. We were greeted on arrival and helped with our luggage from our entrance to the hotel, to the reception to check in and then to our room. Phenomenal service. Check in was swift and easy. The Room- was absolutely perfect. The bed so large and spacious. The bathroom has a huge lit mirror and underfloor heating which is fantastic. The sound proofing in this room is soo good that we couldn't even hear each other if one of us were in the bathroom. The Spa- was beautiful, it wasn't overly packed and we had a lot of moments by ourselves using the different facilities at different times. Between 4.30-7pm which was surprisingly not busy. The Aviary- Firstly I want to say a huge thank you to the Manager Jess and our waitress Charlie, both went above and beyond. The service, the recommendations and even their energy were sensational. It definitely was a remarkable experience and we thank you both for such wonderful service. Now the food... for starters we had the crispy duck salad and the sea bream ceviche. Then we had the Chateaubriand with Jersey Royals, Truffle fries and Hispi Cabbage. All were mouth watering. The only negative about the hotel was a minor fix. The pool at the time was heavily chlorinated so it made it hard to stay in there too long. Another issue only for drivers- there is no hotel parking. The bays around the hotel and surrounding roads are limited to 2 hours and the NCP parking is £40 for 4 hours then £50 for 24 hours. So I would avoid driving if you can.
