About OYO Townhouse Apollo
Free on-site parking is not something you find easily in central London, but OYO Townhouse Apollo offers exactly that from its address on Queensborough Terrace in Bayswater. With 46 rooms across the building, it's a straightforward base for exploring the capital, and its position close to London Paddington makes onward travel simple whether you've arrived by train or are heading out of the city.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi, along with drinks available in room. There's a restaurant and bar on site, breakfast is served, and porter services and luggage storage are on hand for those arriving with cases in tow. A lift serves the upper floors, and pets are welcome for anyone travelling with an animal in need. That said, maintenance can be patchy in places, and service has occasionally been reported as slow to respond, so it suits guests looking for a functional, no-frills stay rather than a polished one.
Outside the hotel, Bayswater's streets offer a good spread of pubs, restaurants and eateries within easy walking distance, along with nearby entertainment options for evenings out. Staff are consistently noted as friendly, which goes some way to softening the rougher edges elsewhere in the building.

Here is your text translated into English: On my first stay, I didn’t know that the suite had nothing in it. Literally, the suite only has a bed. However, there was a shampoo in the room. They may have given me the wrong room, because I had already unpacked my suitcase and I even said, “This is not the one I chose.” I left the hotel, booked another night, and the next day they gave me a room that had leftover soap. It was a single bed. The daily rate was £122. The room was cold, with no carpet. The rooms have nothing except the bed and the TV. I didn’t get any room like the ones shown in the photos of the advertisement. The only positive point of the hotel is the location. There is only one person to do everything. On my first stay, they didn’t even give me the door code; I had to keep calling every time I arrived back from an appointment to get the door opened. There is nothing in the hotel besides the reception and the suite. And the suite they put me in didn’t even have decent soap, only one towel for showering. A tiny, cold room with no carpet. The hotel is under renovation. So you pay, but you’re basically only paying for a bed and the location—no conforto at all.

Brilliant location, 2 streets away from cafes, restaurants and stores. A half hour walk to where the BST festival was held so good location for us. The hotel manager (I’m guessing he is the manager as he was always there)was very pleasant. The room had obviously been newly refurbished/decorated BUT I suggest the management/staff spend a night in the rooms to realise how uncomfortable they are and what they are lacking. Like I said the rooms are obviously newly decorated with new beds but they were rock hard, I looked under the mattress to see if there was MDF under because it was so hard! The bathroom is TINY, the toilet is wedged between the shower and sing, I’m a size 16 and it was so so tight! I dropped a toilet roll down the side and couldn’t get my hand down the side to pick it up, there was also an old used flossing stick there, I’m guessing the same issue and no one could pick it up! Which leads me to my next point, there was no bin in the bathroom! There is no room for one but for hygiene reasons there really should be. When we arrived the country was in the mistake of a heat wave, there were no air con nor were there fans supplied in the rooms but the receptionist had a fan blasting in her face at reception where it was the coolest place in the hotel. It felt so hot the radiator in the room felt warm! We had the windows WIDE open (although I didn’t think they should be allowed to open so wide for safety reasons) but it was ridiculously hot, walking out the rooms into the corridors was like walking into a furnace, even the walls were hot and there was no air flow. Lastly, I’d suggest supplying a bottle of water and have tea/coffee supplies in the rooms. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where there are not complementary drinks facilities in the rooms. Overall it is a decent hotel but needs some adjustments.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were consistently helpful and friendly throughout. As a nice bonus, the hand wash and body wash in the room were good quality and smelled great. Overall, a smooth, enjoyable stay — I'd happily recommend it.
