About Park Avenue Bayswater Inn Hyde Park
With 148 rooms spread across a Bayswater townhouse setting on Princes Square, Park Avenue Bayswater Inn Hyde Park is built for guests who want to be near the centre of London without paying central London prices. The location is the main draw, with easy access to Hyde Park and the wider West End, and staff on hand who are consistently described as helpful and welcoming.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and in-room drinks, and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. Breakfast is served on site, and there's a restaurant and bar for guests who'd rather not venture out in the evening. A lift serves all floors, and the hotel also offers meeting rooms, concierge services and luggage storage, useful for both business stays and short city breaks. It's worth noting that some rooms are compact and maintenance can be inconsistent, so this suits guests prioritising location and price over polish.
Beyond the hotel doors, Bayswater is well stocked with pubs, restaurants and other eateries within easy walking distance, and the wider area offers plenty to fill an evening. Hyde Park itself is close by for a morning walk or run, making this a practical base for exploring London on foot.

What guests say
I recently stayed at the Bayswater Inn and was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt more like a cattle market than a place designed for guests' comfort. It seemed as though every available space had been turned into a room, with little thought given to the guest experience. The room itself was incredibly small. There was barely enough space to move around the bed, and the bedside table was practically touching it. There was almost no usable space, and only one accessible plug socket, which was occupied by the kettle. This meant we had to unplug it whenever we wanted to charge our phones. To make matters worse, only one towel had been provided despite there being two guests. We had to contact reception to request another towel. While they did bring one up, this is a basic detail that should have been taken care of before our arrival. As this stay was booked for my girlfriend's birthday, we had brought a bottle of champagne to celebrate. I was surprised to discover that there was no fridge in the room. When I asked reception, I was told that none of the rooms have fridges. For a hotel of this size, I found that quite disappointing and inconvenient. I also raised concerns about the room with reception and asked whether it would be possible to move to a different room. I was told the hotel was fully booked and that no alternative accommodation within the hotel was available. The bathroom was equally disappointing. The shower was an old-style cubicle that was so cramped it was difficult to move comfortably once the doors were closed. The windows overlooking the park were also dirty, which spoiled what should have been one of the better aspects of the room. As a gesture of goodwill, the hotel offered us breakfast the following morning. Unfortunately, this did little to improve the overall experience. The fried eggs we ordered appeared to have been cooked with very little care or attention and were overcooked to the point where there was virtually no yolk left. It reflected what I felt was a wider issue throughout the hotel: a lack of attention to detail. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of the stay was the overall atmosphere. The staff were not rude, but there was little sense of hospitality or pride in the guest experience. Throughout the hotel, it felt as though the focus was on accommodating as many guests as possible rather than ensuring those guests enjoyed their stay. Given that this was meant to be a special birthday occasion, the experience fell well below expectations. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

We loved our stay. We spent most of the time outdoors and when we were back at the hotel was mostly to sleep. It’s in a quiet area of the neighbourhood but still short walk distance to shops and metro. We loved the convenient location, it made our life so much easier! The room itself was cozy, our aircon worked perfectly, bathroom had all you need and bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay again :)

We travelled down to London for a concert at Wembley Stadium, and the Park Avenue Bayswater Inn Hyde Park proved to be the perfect base for our trip. Located in a beautiful, picturesque neighbourhood, it offered everything we needed at a really good value. The hotel was incredibly straightforward to get to from Euston Station, and the excellent tube transport links made getting to and from Wembley a breeze. The surrounding area is lovely, with plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants right on the doorstep. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a rapid, hassle-free check-in. Our quadruple room was spotlessly clean, tidy, and modern. Having functional air conditioning made the stay very comfortable, and it was great to see two pillows provided per bed alongside the standard tea and coffee facilities. As a minor detail, there were no plug sockets directly at the headboard of the bed, but it wasn't the end of the world for us. Overall, it was a highly convenient, comfortable, and budget-friendly stay. We would definitely consider booking here again for future events!

We stayed at the Bayswater Hyde Park Inn Hotel from Friday to Sunday while attending a concert at Hyde Park on the Saturday. The location was excellent. It’s very close to Hyde Park, Bayswater Tube Station, and Queensway, which made getting around London really easy. There are also plenty of places nearby to eat, mostly casual pub-style food and some brunch spots, which suited us fine for a weekend stay. On arrival, the hotel looked modern and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Even though we arrived early, they managed to get our room ready for us, and when it initially wasn’t expected to be ready, they were helpful in offering us a place to freshen up in the meantime. However, the room itself was disappointing. While the bed was clean and the room was tidy on the surface, there were several issues that stood out. There were dark marks on the walls, what looked like an old egg carton left behind from a previous stay, and visible damage in the bathroom doorway where it looked like it had been previously water-damaged and warped. There was also a noticeable iron burn mark on the carpet. In addition, two USB charging points by the mirror did not work, and there were no sockets beside the bed, which made charging phones inconvenient. Overall, the location is the strongest point of this hotel, especially for events at Hyde Park, and the staff were friendly. However, the condition of the room let the stay down significantly. Personally, I would not stay here again due to the standard of the rooms, despite the excellent location. I also left a review on Booking.com, but only the positive parts seemed to be included, with the negatives missing, so I would advise checking Google reviews as well for a more balanced picture.
