Everything you hope for in an independent hotel. The room is quite spacious, comfortable and updated, there is a large operable window, the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is small but updated. Breakfast in the morning and a lobby bar available in the evening. Ample seating in the lobby for stopping on the way in or out of the hotel. Location is excellent between Bayswater and Notting Hill. Convenient to Kensington Gardens, and Oxford street and the British Museum are a short direct trip on the tube. Very pleasant and responsive staff.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent and the hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. My room and bathroom were spotless, and I really appreciated the daily housekeeping service. Early check-in was also a big advantage and made my arrival much easier. The staff were always very kind, helpful, and patient. Even though my English is not perfect, communication was never an issue, which I truly appreciated. I also appreciated the desk fan provided in the room, which was very helpful during the warm weather. On the other hand, there were a few things that affected the comfort of the stay. The main issue was the lack of proper ventilation, as the window could only be opened slightly, which made the room feel quite stuffy, especially in the mornings. Noise insulation could also be improved, as sounds from neighbouring rooms and the corridor were quite noticeable. The bathroom was very clean, but rather small, and I would have preferred a handheld shower instead of a fixed overhead one. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend this hotel. Despite the minor issues, I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

The Phoenix Hotel, Bayswater / Kensington Gardens is a real little gem in the heart of London. I stayed there from 11–13 April 2026. The location is excellent — right by Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, with easy access to Bayswater and Queensway, making it very convenient for getting around London. Despite being so central, the area feels calm and well connected. The staff were genuinely helpful and attentive, going well beyond expectations, including assisting with parking arrangements. Service throughout felt friendly and efficient. The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay — clean, practical, and well equipped. A window with a view added a nice touch and made the stay feel more pleasant. Overall, a solid choice in central London offering good comfort, great location, and supportive staff.

Stayed here in October 2024 for my mother's 60th birthday, and the staff was absolutely lovely! We traveled from the Netherlands as our first trip abroad with my brother and his assistance dog. I emailed in advance, and they made sure to leave balloons and a birthday card in the room + they had gotten the dog a toy and a special dog bed. He was their first assistance/guide dog visitor, and they were so so so kind. Moreover, they accommodated for allergies at the breakfast buffet. We got a separate room, with our own dishes, they brought out a new, unpacked toaster and had the staff prepare special food items. It truly was one of the first times where we all actually got to relax, because we felt so taken care of. The location is obviously great, tube is walking distance and so is Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens. Rooms are nicely sized for this price and part of London, and the beds were comfy!
