About Queens Park Hotel

A large townhouse-style hotel with 100 rooms, Queens Park Hotel occupies a terrace address at 48 Queensborough Terrace, just a short walk from Hyde Park in central London. The building has the scale of a proper city hotel while keeping the feel of the residential street it sits within, with a lift making all floors easy to reach.

Rooms come with free WiFi, drinks and the usual comforts, and breakfast is included to start the day. Some rooms run on the smaller side and a few guests have noted occasional odd smells, so this suits travellers after a straightforward, well-located base rather than spacious luxury. Staff offer porter and concierge services, and there are meeting rooms for those combining business with sightseeing.

The location is the main draw: Hyde Park is close by, and nearby tube stations make getting around London straightforward. Pubs, restaurants and other eateries are all within easy reach, alongside further entertainment options, making it a practical choice for exploring the city on a reasonable budget.

Rooms compact but functional. Air conditioning is not very good and water pressure in the shower is very weak. However the beds where very comfortable. The breakfast is ok. Staff very friendly. The real winner is the location, bayswater area is excellent for family travel. A stones throw from Hyde park, Kensington palace and a short walk to Notting hill. Easy accessible tube stations nearby. Goods pubs for drinks and food nearby also.

I genuinely don’t understand how this hotel is rated as a 4-star hotel. In reality, it doesn’t even meet the standards of a 2-star hotel. When you’re booking, the website advertises various facilities, but only after you’ve booked do they inform you that the West Wing rooms have no windows and no air conditioning. This is something that should be made very clear before payment. We paid £140 for one night, and the experience was extremely disappointing. There was no hot water at the bathroom sink, the toilet didn’t even have a toilet brush, the extractor fan wasn’t working, and there was a spider web hanging from the light fixture, showing a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. When we asked the receptionist how this could be considered a 4-star hotel when it lacks so many basic facilities, we were simply told that “some rooms don’t have them,” along with other excuses. That is not an acceptable explanation. This hotel is definitely not worth the money we paid. We left feeling very disappointed with the entire experience and would not recommend it to anyone expecting the standard of a genuine 4-star hotel.

Cannot fault the hotel. After reading the reviews I wasn't expecting much but we were a actually really impressed by the hotel, the room and the staff. First the staff is really friendly and accomodating. Second the room is very modern, clean and has everything you need. Third, location is ideal, right next to hyde park, you also have shops, restaurants around. Really impressed overall. We stayed in room 104, right by the lift. We heard no noise (except a couple of doors closing, but it's like in every hotel .)

I stayed here for a business trip and was disappointed by the room I received compared to what was advertised online. The photos on Booking.com and my company’s travel platform showed bright, modern rooms, while I was assigned a basement room that felt much more basic, tiny and lacked natural light. The room was clean, and the staff were ok, but it did not reflect the standard expected from a 4-star hotel. I asked to change rooms, but was told the hotel was fully booked… My main concern is the gap between the images used to sell the rooms and the actual accommodation provided. Guests should have a clearer understanding of what they are booking. Overall, not the experience I expected for the price paid. Only good thing of this hotel is the location.

People say this hotel offers clean, modern rooms with good breakfast and helpful staff, all at a reasonable price in a great location near Hyde Park and tube stations.

Other reviews mention the rooms can be small and there can be unpleasant smells.
