What diners say
From my very first phone RSVP with Sassy, the experience sparkled. Her assertive yet warm approach made booking feel effortless and set a positive tone for the night. As we stepped into the Jurkish cuisine launch party, we were greeted with genuine smiles and a contagious sense of welcome. The waitress guided us up the steps and down a hallway that felt as cozy as a friend’s living room. Every staff member we passed along the way greeted us with warmth and friendliness, building our excitement for what was to come. The receptionist whisked us straight to our spotless seats, while the Jurkish founders made a point to visit every table, personally welcoming each guest. The place buzzed with energy, music thumping as staff cheerfully explained the bar ordering system. Despite the crowds, service was swift, and the short-haired bartender handled orders with impressive confidence and speed. Our first complimentary starter, Turkish pizza, paired perfectly with an Aperol spritz. While the mains took ages due to the unexpected crowd, every bite exploded with flavour. I craved seconds, but the kitchen was swamped. Still, this bold fusion of Turkish and Jamaican cuisine is a must-try, packed with tradition and a fierce punch of taste. The entertainment pulsed with life, blending Turkish and Dancehall beats while dancers in traditional attire brought the room to life. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated. Friendly faces filled the crowd, and the night wrapped up with a warm farewell from manager Paddy. His expertise and charisma made it clear you’d want to return. Look forward to going to this place again when back in Brixton.

We hired the Churchill Room for a birthday party - absolute perfect venue for the occasion. The room is a good size with plenty of room for seating as well as standing, with the added bonus of a private bar so your guests can stay in one place. The food options were great, everyhing was delicious. The staff are also great, so lovely and helpful.

We put on an event here, and the experience was amazing! Staff were very attentive and the food was delicious, almost all of our attendees ate and said how lovely it was. I would definitely recommend this place, as a pub and as a venue!
